diet and weight loss

I get many enquiries about weight loss and diet. It is now well established that rapid weight loss through stand alone 'crash diets' will not work for most in the long term, may well be counterproductive AND it may lead to loss of functional body mass (muscle), which will make matters worse.. The general advice is to review your lifestyle habits and combine healthy eating with regular activity and exercise. Contact a health professional or your personal trainer for further advice on this subject; contact a dietitian if specialist dietary advice is needed.
